Rosemary Lee (b. 1986, Providence) is an artist and media researcher whose work considers how current discourses about art and technology are influenced by those of the past. Her installations often present alternate timelines for technologies, projecting a post-natural history inclusive of electronic media.

Rosemary Lee’s work has been presented in international contexts related to art and technology including LJUDMILA, RIXC, gnration, NeMe, V2_, Ars Electronica, transmediale, and HMKW. Her artistic research has been supported with fellowships funded by the Akademie Schloss Solitude, the European Media Art Platform, the Austrian National Library, the Danish Arts Foundation, Copenhagen Culture Harbor 365, the Arts Council Norway, Nordic Culture Point, the Vilém Flusser Archive Residency for Artistic Research, and Burning Athens. She is represented by Galerie Gilla Lörcher, Berlin since 2013.

Lee completed her PhD at the IT-University of Copenhagen in 2020 with the thesis Machine Learning and Notions of the Image. Her book Algorithm, Image, Art (2024) expands on that research. Lee teaches in the Multimedia program at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto.
